Panama City Hurricane Michael Work Day at Callaway AG Saturday, July 27, 2019 7:00 am Water and lunch will be provided. We will have the opportunity to do a number of projects. If you have tools to do these projects, please bring them on Saturday. 1) Chainsaws to cut up some fallen trees 2) Facia metal needs to be installed around the parsonage 3) Work for a trim carpenter to hang interior doors or lay baseboard 4) Weed eaters and shovels for work around the outside of the church 5) Build forms for a concrete patio 6) Finish building forms for an addition to the back of the office building 7) Use the lift we have on hand to change out some lights in the sanctuary and cover some holes that are open to the attic
Acts 17:22 ESV So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: "Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious.” The men of Athens were religious, but Jesus is not calling us to be religious, He is calling us to follow Him, to have a relationship with Him. We are to be ‘Jesus with skin on’ to all that we come in contact with. Religion brings laws, rituals, and bondage. A relationship is personal, it brings freedom. We need to ask ourselves this question. Do we have religion or a relationship? Jesus came to give us life! Experience life with Jesus. He is worth our worship! Have an amazing Tuesday!

Acts 14:15 ESV "Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men, of like nature with you, and we bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.” Paul & Barnabas saw great miracles. The people were amazed & thought they were the gods. They did not want glory, they were used by God to give glory to Jesus. But the people wanted to sacrifice to them. They persuaded them to stop & declared that they should turn from these false god’s & serve the One True God. Our God is the One who created heaven & earth & all that is in it! Our creator God is able to meet your needs & do the miraculous, trust Him. It was nothing for Him to speak the world into existence, so it is nothing to meet your big need! Trust Him, submit to Him. Sunday, July 21, 2019 Invite and bring someone with you to Emerald Coast Church AG! Most people never come to church because they have never been invited!
Acts 8:1 ESV And Saul approved of his execution. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. First century Christians did not experience ‘heaven on earth,’ there was great persecution. The early believers scattered across the Roman Empire & the church grew rapidly. God used Saul’s hatred of the church to build the church, then Saul became Paul after an encounter with Jesus. And then God used Paul to start even more churches & help disciple these early believers. Outward forces cannot stop God’s church from growing. We live in a society that is becoming more hostile towards the gospel, the gospel is being perverted & taken out of context. God’s incredible love for His people have given us a license to sin & do things right in our own eyes. Draw close to Jesus, He is coming soon. The darker the world is, the brighter our lives should shine for Jesus! Have a great Saturday & invite someone to come to church with you this weekend!
Acts 4:33 ESV And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. At this time, the persecution of the church had started, yet the disciples were sharing the message of Hope with great power! God’s amazing grace was on them. The church even in the middle of great persecution was thriving and growing. They had great power because they were full of the Holy Spirit! They needed the Holy Spirit then, we need the Holy Spirit! Ask Jesus to fill you full of His Holy Spirit! He promised to send the Comforter. Have an amazing Thursday! Look for someone to share your testimony of the resurrection of our Savior! He is HOPE!

Acts 2:47 ESV praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. The Acts 2 church loved people, they served people, they gained favor with all the people & then the church grew by people getting saved. People do not care what you know, until they know that you care! God so loved the world that He gave! Let praise flow from our lips. Jesus works! Show God’s love to someone that you come in contact with today! Have an amazing Wednesday!

John 19:15 ESV They cried out, "Away with him, away with him, crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar." Pilate has punished Jesus & now had given Him back to the Jewish religious leaders hoping that they would be satisfied. They were not! They wanted Pilate to crucify Him. The religious leaders did not want to get their hands dirty because it was almost Passover & they wanted to clean. Their rejection of Jesus was great, the Chief Priest told Pilate that they did not have any King but Caesar. How incredible that those words came from the Chief Priest! Rejection of Jesus is not new to us in 2019, the religious leaders rejected Jesus 2,000 years ago. It is no surprise that it is happening today. In the last days, things that are so wrong become right. What is right is wrong. Our society has rejected Jesus as King & His Word! But it’s not over, we have more opportunities to be light in a dark world. Allow Jesus to shine bright in your life. We have a King - JESUS! Have a terrific Tuesday.

Pilate asks, “what is truth?” This question is still asked today. Jesus answered it when He said that He was the way, the truth & the life a couple of chapters earlier in John 14. Pilate found no guilt in a Him, but did not receive the truth. People are searching for the answer to what is truth. We have the answer & His Name is Jesus. We must love people and show them Truth. We must live it out before them. Pray & asked God to guide your path today so that you can lead others to the Truth! Have an incredible week!
